We have to admit, a strategy RPG set in the heart of 1920s Prohibition-era Chicago wasn’t quite what we were expecting next from John Romero, the legendary creator of Doom, Wolfenstein, and Quake. His team at Romero Games unveiled Empire of Sin at E3 this year. It’s a turn-based strategy set in the seedy mob underworld. Build a crime empire, defend and expand territory, and become the number one mob boss in Chicago. Paradox Interactive are picking up publishing duties, which brings certain expectations in terms of strategic depth and longevity.
Judging from the system specs as well, Empire of Sin could be perfect for those long-haul laptop gaming sessions. Here are the official PC system requirements for Empire of Sin.
Empire of Sin Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows 7 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i3-530 2.9 GHz or AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8 GHz RAM: 4 GB System Memory GPU RAM: 1 GB Video Memory GPU: GeForce GTX 555 or Radeon HD 6790 DX: DirectX 11 HDD: 6 GB Available Hard Drive Space
Empire of Sin Recommended System Requirements

Empire of Sin is a game which is also coming to Nintendo Switch, a fact which makes itself apparent when we look at these low, low system specs. When the recommended system requirements for Empire of Sin suggest a Pentium processor, you know this a game geared to run across as wide a range of gaming systems as humanly possible.
The minimum specs for Empire of Sin are absolutely rock bottom though. Empire of Sin isn’t exactly a pixel pusher, for sure, and provided you’ve got some form of dedicated graphics card from the past decade or so, you should be good to go. You’ll need a dual-processor as well as a fairly meagre 6GB RAM. The only snag we can really see here is if you’re still using a DX10 video card.
The jump up to Empire of Sin’s recommended system specs isn’t too large either. The trust 2GB VRAM GeForce GTX 750 Ti will do the job, paired with a decently-clocked dual-core CPU and 6GB system memory. Again, we expect most GD’ers are well in excess of these specs so it should be a non-issue for most.
